This is what the 14th Cambridge Scouts are doing during Spring and Summer 2015 term.
The scouts leaders aim to provide a balanced program according to 6 zones (“Outdoor and Adventure”, Community, Fit for Life, Creative Expression, Global and “Beliefs and Attitudes”).

- 17/04/2015 – Camp fire night at Milton Country Park (Parents welcome)
Wide games, Stunts/skits by patrols, Campfire songs/chants led by adults or scouts, Cooking sausages/mashmallows, squash/hot chocolate - 24/04/2015 – Swimming at Parkside Pools
Practise session for the Swimming Staged Badge and enjoy the flumes. - 01/05/2015 – Mini picnic in a tent
- 08/05/2015 – Visit the fire station – meet at Fire station (Parkside)
- 15/05/2015 – Pioneering – Balista building
This week we have a pioneering project outside at the church. Remember the Ballistas we made from garden canes last term? This Friday we will make them using pioneering poles with water balloons as the projectile. Scouts should bring a towel because you might get wet if the Ballistas work! - 22/05/2015 – Bike proficiency, safety and maintenance
Please bring your bike so you can practice simple bike maintenance. How to use stove and learn how to whittle cooking utensils. - 29/05/2015 – NO SCOUTS – Half Term Holidays
- 05/06/2015 – Evening Hike – Jesus Green to Milton stops at Jaws for chips.
- 12/06/2015 – Bike Ride – Guided bus at CRC
- 19/06/2015 – Chip Shop survey
Each group shares 1 bag of chips at each Chip Shop and scores the food according to various criteria - 19-21/06/2015 – EVENT – Phasels Wood Activity Weekend
2 nights camping, 10 hours of activities – Land Zorbing, Archery, Air Rifles, Bungee Trampolines, Cresta Run, Ice Climbing, Pot-holing, Climbing and AeroBall.

The 14th has booked Impington swimming pool for the scouts to complete their selected swimming badge. This will be a chance to try swimming with your T-Shirt and challenge yourself to the next swimming badge level. Some of us will stay at the fun splash session afterward. - 10/07/2015 – EVENT – Abington backwood cooking and sleepover
- 17/07/2015 – Water games and CamJam prep plus presentations
Design an obstacle course with water traps. - 24/07/2015 – NO SCOUTS – School Holidays
- 15-22/08/2015: EVENT – CamJam 2015
CamJam is a week-long international scout camp organised by Cambridgeshire Scouts with lots of fun and exciting activities including climbing, rafting, high ropes, golf, rifle shooting, fishing, water sports and many others. There is also go on a day trip to some of the best museums and attractions in Cambridge, Coventry, London, Bedfordshire, Leceister and Norfolk.
