Following our Friday meeting inventing water collecting devices and toilets for developing countries, some of our Scouts did a litter pick this morning with Friends of Cherry Hinton Brook. They worked hard to collect 120kg of litter along the Brook! A massive well done to all involved!
Our Scouts had a fantastic day out with the 26th Cambridge Scouts at Milton Keynes ice skating and snowboarding. Some found it difficult at first but all of us learnt some new techniques on the ice and snow. Thanks must go to the Leaders who organised the trip!
Last Friday our Scouts celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of traditional Chinese games, food and calligraphy. They even built giant dragons and raced against other Patrols!
Our older Scouts returned to the Peak District last weekend with 26th Cambridge Scouts and had an amazing weekend. Overnight expeditions, visit to a local town and a day of weasling in Hope Valley! This week has seen the 14th Beavers and Cubs celebrate Chinese New Year by making traditional Chinese lanterns, learning Chinese calligraphy and zodiacs, trying Chinese New Year pudding and sweets etc. They even got a red pocket to take home, as a symbol of blessing from the Leaders!
